Guitarist Conor Necessary and bassist Benjamin Robbins started their band careers with their formation of the band, “The Chips” in March of 2023. This project was unsuccessful and they went through many revisions, but continued to have no luck. In September of 2024, they found drummer Cayden Mattern and asked him to join the band. Although reluctant at first, Cayden agreed and Lizard Hammer was formed. They then found vocalist Gabriel Conrad and the first Lizard Hammer practice ensued on October 6th, 2024. Gabe shortly left the band due to complications, which left them as a 3 piece band. They started playing covers of their favorite bands until they wrote their first song on November 24th, 2024. The band has since released one single, “Larry the Bartender” and has had live shows, such as “Live at the Jersey Shore Modern Band Showcase” with a few songs with featured member Lane Necessary on Keyboard.
